WHAT USE HAS SM86 DESIGNED FOR?
The SM86 is perfect for solo singers. It is ideal for live performances, but also gives excellent results when used in a recording studio.

WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF SM86?
The SM86 has a condenser cap which gives it studio-quality sound and a cardioid capture pattern, which isolates the main sound source while minimizing unwanted background noise. This feature makes it perfect for use with stage monitors and monitoring headphones. It has an extended frequency response in the treble of 15Hz to 18kHz and a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 124dB. The three-point internal anti-shock system reduces handling noise and a two-phase anti-pop filter almost eliminates wind noises and occlusive sounds.
